Service arrangements of Shun Lee General Out-patient Clinic
***********************************************************
The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority.

The spokesperson for the Kowloon East Cluster (KEC) made the following announcement regarding the services of the Shun Lee General Out-patient Clinic:

Healthcare workers at the Shun Lee General Out-patient Clinic detected a burning smell from the meter room at around 1.30pm today (March 3). Clinic staff immediately notified the Maintenance Department of the KEC and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). For safety reason, the engineering staff arranged to switch off the power supply and conducted urgent repairs.

More than 20 patients and accompanying persons, as well as more than a dozen clinic staff on-site, were arranged to depart the clinic in an orderly manner. No one was injured during the incident. The clinic also arranged designated vehicles to transfer the patients to the Kwun Tong Community Health Centre and the Lam Tin Polyclinic General Out-patient Clinic for consultation and treatment. The clinic also rescheduled follow-up appointments for patients in need.

The power supply at the clinic resumed as normal at 4.12pm after the urgent repairs, and services of the clinic will resume normal tomorrow morning.

The KEC is very concerned about the incident and will communicate closely with the EMSD to investigate the cause of the accident. The cluster has reported the incident to the Hospital Authority Head Office through the Advanced Incident Reporting System.
