Tender awarded for site in Mong Kok
     The Lands Department announced today (March 1) that the tender for a site, Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11273 at the junction of Sai Yee Street and Argyle Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon, has been awarded to the highest tenderer, East Classic Development Limited (parent company: Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited), on a 50-year land grant at a premium of $4,729,000,000.

     The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:

(1) Century Mark Investments Limited (CK Asset Holdings Limited); and
(2) Sunlight Fortune Limited (Great Eagle Holdings Limited and Sino Land Company Limited).
     Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11273 has a site area of about 11 537 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding residential, godown and petrol filling station) purposes. The minimum gross floor area is 84 960 sq m and the maximum gross floor area that may be attained is 141 600 sq m. Both include the gross floor area of Government Accommodation, being a day care centre for the elderly, a neighbourhood elderly centre, an integrated children and youth services centre, an integrated community centre for mental wellness, a community hall, a public transport interchange and a public toilet, but exclude the gross floor area of the public vehicle park, all to be constructed by the purchaser under the Conditions of Sale.
