Draft URA Cheung Wah Street/Cheung Sha Wan Road Development Scheme Plan approved

     ​The Chief Executive in Council has approved the draft Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Cheung Wah Street/Cheung Sha Wan Road Development Scheme Plan (DSP).

     "The approved DSP provides a statutory land use planning framework to guide the implementation of the URA Cheung Wah Street/Cheung Sha Wan Road Development Scheme," a spokesman for the Town Planning Board said today (February 17).

     The development scheme area, comprising Site A and Site B, covers about 1.91 hectares. Site A is bounded by Hing Wah Street to the southeast, Cheung Sha Wan Road to the southwest, Cheung Wah Street to the northwest, and Cheung Sha Wan Catholic Secondary School to the northeast. Site B is bounded by Cheung Sha Wan Road to the north, Cheung Sha Wan Path to the west, and Sham Shui Po Sports Ground to the south.

     Site A is zoned "Residential (Group A)", which is intended primarily for a high-density residential development. Site B is zoned "Government, Institution or Community" and "Open Space", which are intended primarily for the provision of government, institution and community facilities and outdoor open-air public open space respectively.
 
     The approved DSP No. S/K5/URA3/2 is available for public inspection during office hours at (i) the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, (ii) the Planning Enquiry Counters, (iii) the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office and (iv) the Sham Shui Po District Office.

     Copies of the approved DSP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the DSP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
