Tender awarded for short-term tenancy in Sham Shui Po for parking site with installation of automated parking system

     The Government announced today (February 17) that the tender for a short-term tenancy (STT) of one lot of government land at the junction of Tung Chau Street and Yen Chow Street West in Sham Shui Po (STT No. STTKW0028) for implementing a project on an automated parking system (APS) has been awarded to AIM Concept Parking Services Limited at a monthly rental of $400,000. The term of the STT is five years certain and thereafter half-yearly.

     AIM Concept Parking Services Limited is required to erect, construct and install an APS in the form of a puzzle stacking system so as to provide not less than 50 automated parking spaces out of a total minimum of 210 parking spaces on the site under the STT. The Transport Department (TD) will co-ordinate with the tenant with a view to commissioning the APS in the first quarter of next year.

     The aforementioned location is the third STT site for installing an APS. The second APS at an STT car park located at Pak Shek Kok in Tai Po commenced services on December 31 last year. The TD will continue to take forward APS projects to further increase the number of parking spaces and spatial efficiency.
