Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tin Shui Wai this morning (February 13) in which a 62-year-old woman died.

     At 6.23am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 65-year-old man reportedly knocked down the 62-year-old woman who was crossing the road when it turned left to Tin Shui Road from the unnamed road near a car park in Tin Shui Estate.

     Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Tin Shui Wai Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 7.34am.

     The LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
