Fatal traffic accident in Airport

At about 3.05pm, a coach driven by a 70-year-old man was travelling along Cheong Tat Road towards Tung Chung. When approaching a bus stop, it reportedly knocked down the 66-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to North Lantau Hospital in unconscious state and later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital. She was certified dead at 10.54pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
