Transcript of remarks by SCST at media session
**********************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Kevin Yeung, at a media session after attending a Legislative Council meeting today (January 11):

Reporter: I just want to ask if the Government has any reactions to the restrictions set by different countries, for example South Korea, on the amount of places that Hong Kong flights would be able to land, or also the other restrictions given by other countries previously. Does the Government have a response to these sorts of restrictions that have been given by these countries or perhaps members of the international community?

Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism: The relevant bureau has already responded to this question. In general, any sort of these measures have to be based on science. In the past few weeks, you can see that our situation, for example the COVID confirmed figures have been decreasing. We have been controlling the pandemic in Hong Kong in a very good manner. I think in the past, we have proved that our measures are very effective. So to us, these restrictive measures are not necessary.
