The polling day of 2023 Village Representative Election concluded at 7pm today (January 8).
 
     A total of 556 candidates from 182 villages contested for 286 seats, covering 185 Indigenous Inhabitant Representative seats and 101 Resident Representative seats.
 
     There are 58 609 registered voters for the 182 contested villages above, out of whom 33 055 cast their votes, representing a turnout rate of 56.40 per cent.
