Traffic arrangement for Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars

     The Transport Department (TD) announced today (January 7) that with the resumption of passenger clearance services at Man Kam To Control Point, the special traffic arrangement announced on February 1, 2020 in respect of Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars with regular quota for using the Man Kam To Control Point only will be cancelled with effect from tomorrow (January 8), i.e. the relevant private cars will no longer be allowed to use the Shenzhen Bay Port, and allow to use Man Kam To Control Point to travel between Guangdong and Hong Kong. Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars with regular quota for using the Sha Tau Kok Control Point will be allowed to continue using the Shenzhen Bay Port to travel between Guangdong and Hong Kong until further notice.

     The TD reminds that all persons (except for Mainland residents entering the Mainland, Hong Kong residents entering Hong Kong, and foreign visitors who return to Hong Kong from the Mainland) will be required to comply with the arrangement announced by the HKSAR Government on January 5, 2023, successfully make bookings online before travelling to the Mainland or Hong Kong through the Man Kam To Control Point.
