The Hospital Authority (HA) received today (December 24) reports of one new critical 31-month-old girl at Tuen Mun Hospital and one new serious 15-month-old boy at Prince of Wales Hospital. The HA urges parents to step up the protection of their children and arrange for them to receive COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination as soon as possible to reduce the risks of death or falling seriously ill should they unfortunately get infected.

The overall occupancy of medical beds in acute hospitals is around 110 per cent.

The HA will maintain close contact with the Centre for Health Protection to monitor the latest developments and to inform the public and healthcare workers on the latest information in a timely manner.
