LCSD to hold novel magic programme "In Your Sight, In Your Mind" (with photos)
****************************************************************************************
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will hold a magic performance "In Your Sight, In Your Mind" from January to March next year at six districts in Hong Kong. Performed by local magic performer Zenneth Kok, the programme will display a unique form of digital magic and mentalism, offering members of the public an opportunity to enjoy the art of magic visually and mentally. Members of the public are welcome to join and admission is free.

Unlike conventional magic, digital magic incorporates video, animation and the use of screen into the performance, opening new doors to creative expression for magic shows. Mentalism demonstrates the magician's talent for psychology, statistics and more, and plays with the audience's choices whose minds are progressively read.

"In Your Sight, In Your Mind" is an extension from 101 Academy of LCSD Edutainment Channel's magic-related online programme to stage performances in the community. To promote inclusiveness, four performances will be presented in Cantonese and two performances in English.

The first performance will be held at Sau Mau Ping Community Hall on January 8 (Sunday) at 4pm. Members of the public can register from December 28 (Wednesday) for free tickets of the first performance. The other five performances will be held respectively in Islands District, Sham Shui Po District, Southern District, Sha Tin District and Yuen Long District. For more information, please visit the website www.cpo.gov.hk/event/en-in-your-sight-in-your-mind-2023/ or call 2591 1340.

Local magic performer Zenneth Kok has more than 20 years of stage performing and teaching experience, and has created more than 200 original tricks. He is also a psychological illusionist who is keen on mentalism, and has been active in illustrating the educational value of magic to the general public.

In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering venues where the Vaccine Pass is applicable must comply with its relevant requirements. According to the latest requirements on the Vaccine Pass announced by the Government, all persons whose Vaccine Pass QR code is displayed in red are not allowed to enter performance venues.
