The Lands Department (LandsD) announced today (December 16) that a site, Rural Building Lot No. 1221 at Chung Hom Kok, Hong Kong, will be disposed of by public tender. The tender invitation for the lot will commence on December 23 and close on February 3, 2023.
            
     Rural Building Lot No. 1221 has a site area of about 1 649.6 square metres and is designated for external telecommunications station purposes.
      
     The tenderers must be incorporated companies registered under the Companies Ordinance which either are holders of Unified Carrier Licences (UCLs) granted by the Communications Authority (CA) who are authorised to provide cable-based and/or non-cable based external telecommunications services in Hong Kong, or have obtained an approval-in-principle from the CA for the grant of a UCL to provide such telecommunications services in Hong Kong. The tenderers that have respectively been awarded with either the grant of Rural Building Lot No. 1219 or Rural Building Lot No. 1220 (the Parties) and any company connected with either or both of the Parties are not eligible to participate in this tender exercise for disposal of Rural Building Lot No. 1221.
      
     Land sale documents including the Form of Tender, the Tender Notice, the Conditions of Sale and the sale plan of the lot will be available for downloading from the LandsD website (www.landsd.gov.hk) from December 23, while the sale plan will be available for inspection by the public from the same day until the close of the tender. The sale plan in hard copy form may also be purchased from December 23 at the Survey and Mapping Office of the LandsD, 23/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong, until the close of the tender. The particulars of the tender will be gazetted on December 23.
