Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Yau Ma Tei yesterday (December 14) in which a 73-year-old male pedestrian died.

     At about 8.55pm, a motorcycle driven by a 19-year-old man was travelling along Nathan Street towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When approaching near the junction of Nathan Road and Hamilton Street, it reportedly knocked down the 73-year-old man.

    Sustaining serious head injuries, the male pedestrian was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in semi-conscious state and was certified dead at 10.38pm.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
