Personal assistant to SEE tests positive for COVID-19

     A spokesman for the Environment and Ecology Bureau (EEB) today (December 12) said that the Personal Assistant to Secretary for Environment and Ecology has tested positive for COVID-19.
 
     The personal assistant does not need to have contact with the public and has no recent travel history. She wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. She last performed duties on December 9.
 
     The Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan, undergoes professional swab sampling COVID-19 nucleic acid tests regularly. The result of the nucleic acid test taken today was negative. He has also been conducting COVID-19 rapid antigen tests every day, and the results were all negative.
 
     The EEB has conducted thorough cleaning and disinfection operations at the relevant offices, and has arranged for relevant staff members to undergo COVID-19 tests in accordance with the advice from the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health.
