Murder in Wong Tai Sin

At around 1.30am, Police received a report from a 74-year-old woman that her 47-year-old daughter was injured and collapsed in a unit in Lok Shun House, Tsz Lok Estate.
Police officers sped to the scene and found the 47-year-old woman lying unconsciously in the living room of the unit. Sustaining injuries to her head and neck, she was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital and was certified dead at 2.32am.
Initial investigation revealed that the deceased was suspectedly attacked with a hard object. The case was classified as murder. The deceased’s 74-year-old mother and 78-year-old father, who were in suspected connection with the case, were arrested and are now being detained for further enquiries.
A hammer and some clothing in suspected connection with the case were seized at scene.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Wong Tai Sin District is underway.
