A spokesman for the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau said today (December 8) that the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Miss Alice Mak, was identified as a close contact after assessment conducted by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health as a friend of hers had tested positive for COVID-19. Miss Mak is undergoing home quarantine in accordance with the guidelines of the CHP and will work from home during the quarantine period.

     Miss Mak has been taking COVID-19 nucleic acid tests regularly. She obtained negative results after conducting a nucleic acid test yesterday (December 7) and a rapid antigen test today.
