Japanese art troupe SIRO-A to present multimedia theatre "Techno Circus" (with photos)

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will present four cross-year performances of the multimedia physical theatre production "Techno Circus" under its "Cheers!" Series. Japanese art troupe SIRO-A will visit Hong Kong and perform its energetic programme that combines dance, mime and special effects to delight and surprise Hong Kong audiences during the festive season.
 
     Showcasing their thrilling skills and passion, the four members of SIRO-A will perform interactive dance, shadow puppetry and comedy mime with spectacular projection, light animation and pulsating electro beats to create scenes of breathtaking and unexpected optical illusions, which will bring audiences a unique theatre experience. Programme details are as follows:

                          3pm on January 1, 2023 (Sunday)

     SIRO-A was founded in 2002. Its creative concept derives from a collaboration between technology and people, fusing techno music, groundbreaking visual effects and physical comedy to deliver innovative performances to audiences. The group has toured Germany, the United States, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and France. It has also received the Spirit of the Fringe Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Best Circus/Speciality Act of the London Cabaret Awards.

     Other highlights of the "Cheers!" Series include the stage performance screening of "The Snow Queen" by the Scottish Ballet, to be shown on December 11 and January 1 next year, as well as "The Good.Old.Days" (Rework) Pop-Up Book Theatre by Lau Ming-hang to be staged from January 12 to 15 next year.      In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, members of the public are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" venue QR code with their mobile phones/other mobile devices before being allowed to enter the performing arts venues managed by the LCSD. In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering indoor venues under the management of the LCSD must comply with the requirements of the Vaccine Pass. According to the latest requirements on the Vaccine Pass announced by the Government, all persons with their Vaccine Pass QR codes displayed in red or amber are not allowed to enter performing arts venues managed by the LCSD.
