Health Bureau secretary tests positive for COVID-19

     A spokesman for the Health Bureau today (November 25) said that the secretary of the Under Secretary for Health has tested positive for COVID-19.
 
     The secretary does not need to have contact with the public and has no recent travel history. She wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. She last performed duties yesterday (November 24).
 
     The Under Secretary for Health, Dr Libby Lee, undergoes professional swab sampling COVID-19 nucleic acid tests regularly. The result of the nucleic acid test taken today was negative. She has also been conducting COVID-19 rapid antigen tests every day, and the results were all negative.
 
     The Health Bureau has conducted thorough cleaning and disinfection at the workplace concerned, and relevant staff members will continue to undergo COVID-19 rapid antigen testing on a daily basis.
