LCSD's Frisbee · Kai Tak Station Square to be held on December 4

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will hold Frisbee.Kai Tak Station Square in Kowloon City as part of its Happy@Parks campaign on December 4 (Sunday), offering a variety of frisbee activities for members of the public to experience the vibrancy of the park and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). This event is under the exclusive sponsorship of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), and is one of the many initiatives supported by the HKJC's approved donation of $630 million to the Government of the HKSAR to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, demonstrating that the HKJC is resolute in pursuing its purpose of acting continuously for the betterment of society, all in support of creating a stronger community together.

     The event will be held at Kai Tak Station Square from 2pm to 5pm on the day. Admission is free. People of all ages are welcome to join the programme on the spot. Participants will be able to enjoy the fun of playing with frisbees and get free training in basic frisbee skills from the Hong Kong Flying Disc Federation, as well as take part in fun games and a mock competition.

     Moreover, game booths on new sports and a sports interactive game zone will also be set up in the venue so that more opportunities can be provided for members of the public to take part in less accessible sports and play them through the combination of multimedia and virtual reality technology.      In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F), participants must scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code before being allowed to enter, and comply with the mask-wearing requirement.

     In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering or remaining at the venue must comply with the requirement of the Vaccine Pass. According to the current requirement on the Vaccine Pass, all persons with their Vaccine Pass QR codes displayed in red are not allowed to enter while patrons holding amber codes are allowed to enter, but are still required to comply with the vaccination requirements under the Vaccine Pass.

     To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, the LCSD is holding a series of Happy@Parks activities with various themes from June to December this year in six LCSD parks, with all of the activities exclusively sponsored by the HKJC and allowing users to experience a joyful atmosphere with their family on holidays through a variety of activities and games. Visitors can also collect stamp collection cards at the venues and participate in the LCSD's souvenir redemption scheme. Upon joining selected celebration programmes, members of the public can receive a stamp and those who have collected four stamps by participating in two cultural programmes and two leisure and sports programmes within this year could redeem a box of the commemorative LCSD Board Game for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR designed by an illustrator, while stocks last.      Moreover, the Happy@Parks - Frisbee.Kai Tak Station Square has joined the "iAM Smart" Reward Scheme. There will be an "iAM Smart" registration counter at the venue, and dedicated staff will assist members of the public to register for "iAM Smart" and collect an electronic stamp.
