We are very grateful to them for coming to Hong Kong to exchange with us. Their experience in fighting the epidemic will enrich our quality and capability to manage COVID-19 cases by CM practitioiners in Hong Kong, and will provide valuable experience for the development of the Intergrated Chinese-Western Medicine (ICWM) service model in the HA."

The two CM experts, in the capacity of "visiting scholars", will attend to the ICWM services for managing COVID-19 severe cases in Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital, and provide clinical guidance for training CM practitioners in Hong Kong at the first stage.

Mr Fan expressed his gratitude to the Mainland authories and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government for their staunch support to the programme, which has facilitated the two CM experts to come to Hong Kong, leading to considerable enhancement in CM development and the quality of healthcare servies in both mainland and Hong Kong. The HA will continue to capitalise on the Greater Bay Area development opportunities so as to strengthen the integration of medical services in Hong Kong and the Mainland to generate synergies and achieve mutual benefits.
