Director of Highways tests positive for COVID-19

A spokesman for the Highways Department said today (November 12) that the Director of Highways, Mr Jimmy Chan, has tested positive for COVID-19 through a rapid antigen test. He is undergoing isolation in accordance with the guidelines of the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health.

Mr Chan wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. He has no recent travel history and last went to work on November 10.

The department will conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection at the office concerned and will continue to implement disease prevention measures vigorously.
