Inno@E&M Open Day 2022 launched today (with photo)

     The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) launched the three-day Inno@E&M Open Day 2022 today (November 4) to demonstrate innovation and technology (I&T) applications in electrical and mechanical (E&M) engineering services and smart city development to the public.

     Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, Mr Eric Pang, said that the EMSD had all along been supporting the promotion of popular science education and nurturing young technology talent. The Open Day offers a variety of activities to inspire young people's interest in E&M engineering and technologies. He thanked various government departments, the E&M trade, and research and development institutions for showcasing I&T projects at the Open Day to enable the public to experience the more convenient and energy efficient lifestyle brought by innovative E&M technology.

     The Inno@E&M Open Day 2022 is one of the celebratory events for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Running from today until November 6 at EMSD Headquarters, Kowloon Bay, the Open Day offers a wide range of informative, fun and educational activities, including booth exhibitions of I&T projects, seminars, workshops, District Cooling System at Kai Tak Development guided tours, virtual reality experience, gaming facilities and stage performances.
