Regarding an earlier announcement on a cluster of patients confirmed to be carriers of Multi-Drug Resistant Acinetobacter (MDRA) in a medical ward, the spokesperson for Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital made the following update today (November 4):

In accordance with the prevailing guidelines, the hospital commenced contact tracing and identified two more female patients, both 93 years old, in the same ward as the carrier of MDRA. Both patients are currently under isolation treatment with stable condition, and one of the patients has been transferred to Tung Wah Eastern Hospital.
