Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long this morning (November 3) in which a 75-year-old man died.

     At 10.39am, a taxi driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling along Wang Tat Road eastbound. When approaching the junction of Fung Chi Road, it reportedly collided with a bicycle.

     Sustaining multiple injuries, the 75-year-old male cyclist was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 11.15am.

     The taxi driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
