The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) promoted Hong Kong as an ideal place in Asia for innovation and technology (I&T) start-ups to grow their business, during the Web Summit Lisbon 2022 in Portugal.
 
     HKETO, Brussels hosted a networking event for Web Summit participants on November 2 (Lisbon time), in collaboration with Invest Hong Kong, to promote opportunities in Hong Kong. The event was supported by the Portugal-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Portugal-China Young Entrepreneurs Association.
 
     Deputy Representative of the HKETO, Brussels, Miss Grace Li, told participants that Hong Kong is going full speed in developing into an international I&T centre. She outlined new government initatives to attract high-potential I&T enterprises to set up operations in Hong Kong, and make it easier for top talents from all over the globe to live and work locally. Miss Li also highlighted the huge potential presented by the deepening co-operation between Hong Kong and the Mainland in the I&T sector. She encouraged entrepreneurs to visit Hong Kong to discover the many opportunities for themselves.
 
     The Web Summit is a major international technology conference, which aims to bring together the people and companies that are redefining the global tech industry. It attracts over 900 speakers from around the world, as well as 70 000 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors and professionals in the field of technology.
