Wounding case in Tin Shui Wai reclassified as murder

     Police reclassified a wounding case in Tin Shui Wai on October 29 as murder.
 
     At around 5.35pm on October 29, Police received a report that two men were fighting outside Yan Lok House of Tin Yan Estate.
 
     Police officers sped to the scene and found a 58-year-old man lying on the ground. Sustaining head and hand injuries, he was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state for treatment. After initial investigation, Police arrested a 46-year-old man for wounding in Yuen Long yesterday (October 30).
 
     The 58-year-old man was certified dead at 4.21pm today (October 31).
 
     Upon further investigation, Police reclassified the case as murder. Police seized two iron poles which were in suspected connection with the case. Police laid a holding charge against the 46-year-old man with one count of murder and the case will be mentioned at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (November 1).
 
     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
