DSD to carry out emergency repair works for sewer near St Stephen's Beach

     The Drainage Services Department announced today (October 26) that emergency repair works for a sewer near St Stephen's Beach will be carried out starting today until October 28. During the period, the water quality of the nearby waters will potentially be affected. Members of the public are advised not to swim at this beach or the nearby waters during the period to protect public health.
 
     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has announced earlier that lifeguard services at St Stephen's Beach have been suspended. Members of the public should not swim at beaches without lifeguard services to avoid accidents.
