The Sham Shui Po Public Library, the fifth public library in the district, is expected to commence services in the first quarter of next year. Its Students' Study Room will open first on October 31 (Monday) to provide students and residents in the district with a quiet and relaxing environment for studying and learning.
 
     Located on the first floor of Sham Shui Po Leisure and Cultural Building at 38 Sham Mong Road, the Students' Study Room of the Sham Shui Po Public Library spans 340 square metres and offers a total of 220 seats.
 
     Those who plan to visit the Students' Study Room of Sham Shui Po Public Library can walk from Exit A1 of Nam Cheong MTR Station for about 10 minutes, or take various bus and minibus routes there. The opening hours of the Students' Study Room is as follows:
 
Normal opening hours
(January, February and June to December)

Mondays	Noon - 10pm
Tuesdays to Fridays	9am - 10pm
Saturdays	9am - 8pm
Sundays and public holidays	9am - 5pm

 
Opening hours during examination period
(March to May)

Mondays to Fridays	8am - 10pm
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays	8am - 9.30pm

 
     Users are required to apply for admission cards for using the Students' Study Room during the examination period. The Students' Study Room will be closed on the following public holidays: New Year's Day, the first three days of the Lunar New Year holidays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The Students' Study Room has special opening arrangements on New Year's Eve, Lunar New Year's Eve, Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas Eve.
