HKSAR Government spokesman's response to media enquiries
********************************************************
In response to media enquiries on an overseas media's report today (October 21) alleging that the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has banned a film, which was previously screened in 2008, from screening at an outdoor activity in Hong Kong next week, a spokesman for the HKSAR Government strongly refuted that the report concerned is totally unfounded and far from the facts.

The HKSAR Government spokesman said that a statement issued by the event organiser clearly stated that it has decided to make a change of the movie based on the Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration (OFNAA)'s recommendation that an outdoor screening of the film is not appropriate due to the level of violence in the film.

The HKSAR Government spokesman added that according to the usual practice, the OFNAA would not comment on the application of individual films.
