Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in North Point

     Police today (October 21) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in North Point on October 18 in which a 75-year-old man died.
           
     At about 9pm that day, a bus driven by a 54-year-old man was travelling along Kings Road eastbound. When approaching near 153 Kings Road, it reportedly knocked down the male pedestrian.
           
     Sustaining serious head injury, the man was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.18pm on October 19.

     The 54-year-old bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death after the accident. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in mid-November.
             
     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island is underway.
