Approved Fanling North Outline Zoning Plan amended

The amendments mainly involve (i) rezoning of two sites along Man Kam To Road in Area 3 mainly from "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") to "Other Specified Uses" ("OU") annotated "Logistics Facility" and "OU(Bus Depot)" respectively; (ii) rezoning of four sites in Area 5 mainly from "OU(Parking and Operation Facilities for Environmentally Friendly Transport System)" to "Residential (Group A) 5", "OU(Sewage Pumping Station)", "G/IC" and "Open Space" respectively; and (iii) rezoning of a site in Area 6 from "Residential (A)2" and an area shown as "Road" to "Residential (A)6"; (iv) relaxation of building height restriction for a "G/IC" site in Area 11; and (v) other amendments to reflect the latest road alignment and the associated revisions to the boundaries of various zones.
Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information on various land use zonings and the planning scheme area, where appropriate.
The draft Fanling North OZP No. S/FLN/3, incorporating the amendments, is available for public inspection during office hours at (i) the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, (ii) the Planning Enquiry Counters, (iii) the Fanling, Sheung Shui and Yuen Long East District Planning Office, (iv) the North District Office, (v) the Fanling District Rural Committee and (vi) the Sheung Shui District Rural Committee.
Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before December 21. Any person who intends to make a representation is advised to read the Town Planning Board Guidelines No. 29B on "Submission and Publication of Representations, Comments on Representations and Further Representations under the Town Planning Ordinance" (TPB PG-No. 29B).
Submission of a representation should comply with the requirements set out in TPB PG-No. 29B. In particular, the representer should take note of the following:
* If the representer fails to provide his or her full name and the first four alphanumeric characters of his or her Hong Kong identity card or passport number as required under TPB PG-No. 29B, the representation submitted shall be treated as not having been made; and
* The Secretariat of the Town Planning Board reserves the right to require the representer to provide identity proof for verification.
