Appointment to Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Advisory Committee

The Government announced today (October 21) that the Chief Executive, in exercise of his authority under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance (MPFSO)(Cap. 485), has re-appointed Mr Ip Kwok-him as Chairman of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Advisory Committee (MPFSAC). He has also appointed Ms Loretta Fong Wan-huen as Deputy Chairman of the MPFSAC. The above-mentioned appointments are for a term of two years from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2024, both dates inclusive.

Welcoming the above appointments, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Christopher Hui, said, "The MPFSAC is a statutory body established under the MPFSO to advise the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority on its effectiveness and efficiency as well as the operation of the MPFSO. I am confident that the MPFSAC will continue to offer valuable advice and contribute to the enhancement of the Mandatory Provident Fund System."
