Applications for admission tickets for Fire and Ambulance Services Academy open day begin
*****************************************************************************************
To provide the public with an opportunity to better understand the work and personnel training of the Fire Services Department (FSD), an open day will be held at the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy in Tseung Kwan O on November 6 (Sunday).

The open day will feature a range of activities, including a fire appliances parade, firefighting and rescue demonstrations, displays of training facilities, equipment and special vehicles, an exhibition on fire safety education, game booths, a recruitment experience area, as well as a demonstration of Fire Services working dogs. The Fire and Ambulance Services Education Centre cum Museum will also be open to the public on the day.

The open day will be held in two sessions, from 9am to 12noon and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. A ticket is required for admission (children aged 3 or below do not require an admission ticket).

Members of the public who are interested can apply for a maximum of four admission tickets online (es.hkfsd.gov.hk/eapply) from today (October 15) to October 26. The tickets will be allocated by computer ballot and successful applicants will receive an email notification on October 28.

In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G), the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, the Academy will adopt a series of disease prevention measures. Visitors should undergo temperature checks and wear face masks, and also use the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application to scan the venue QR code. Entry will only be permitted when their Vaccine Pass has been checked by staff of the Academy (including children aged from 5 to 11).

Visitors are advised to use public transportation as no parking spaces will be provided at the Academy. The morning session of the open day will be cancelled if Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, or the Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is still in force at 7am on the event day; while the afternoon session will be cancelled if the above signal is still in force at 11.30am. Visitors should visit the FSD's website (www.hkfsd.gov.hk) regularly for the latest information. For enquiries, please call 2411 8825.
