The Corporate Games 2023, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), will open for enrolment from October 17 (Monday). Employees of commercial and industrial organisations and the public sector are welcome to take part in the Games.
The Corporate Games is a major multi-sport event for employees of private and public sector organisations. It aims to encourage the working population to exercise regularly in order to stay healthy and fit to cope with challenges at work, while promoting team spirit and strengthening a sense of belonging to their organisations through participation in competitions.
The Corporate Games 2023 will be held between February and October next year at various recreation and sports venues in Hong Kong. It comprises 11 competition events, namely athletics, badminton, basketball, distance run, snooker, table tennis, tennis, tenpin bowling, volleyball, futsal and 11-a-side soccer.
All events will be divided into three groups. Organisations with 300 or more employees in Hong Kong will join Group A and organisations with less than 300 employees in Hong Kong will be in Group B, while Group C is for government departments. In addition to the champion and the first, second and third runners-up awards in each event, an overall championship trophy will be given to the organisations accumulating the highest points from all events in each group.
In view of the latest situation of COVID-19, the enrolment dates of the Distance Run Competition will be announced later. The dates, times and venues of the other competitions are also subject to change. The public should pay attention to the latest announcements. Enrolment is invited from October 17 until November 14. Interested organisations may enroll online at the LCSD-dedicated website (corporategames.lcsd.gov.hk), or download the enrolment form from the website and return the completed form to the Major Events Section of the LCSD by post (Address: 2/F, Leisure and Cultural Services Headquarters, 1-3 Pai Tau Street, Sha Tin) or by fax (2634 0786).
