USFST tests positive for COVID-19

A spokesman for the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) said today (October 13) that the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Joseph Chan, has tested positive for COVID-19 through a nucleic acid test.

     Mr Chan wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. He has no recent travel history. He last went to work yesterday (October 12).

     The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Christopher Hui, has been taking COVID-19 rapid antigen tests every day and the results have all been negative.

     The FSTB will conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection at the relevant offices and continue to implement disease prevention measures vigorously.
