The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson today (September 29) announced that due to the activation of some general out-patient clinics (GOPCs) as designated clinics for COVID-19 confirmed cases, eight GOPCs will provide public holiday GOPC services during the National Day (October 1) and Chung Yeung Festival (October 4) holidays (see table below). Patients seeking consultation may make an advance booking for an appointment either through the telephone appointment system or the "Book GOPC" function on the "HA Go" mobile application.
 
     The spokesperson for the HA remarked that the eight designated clinics and tele-consultation service will also continue to operate during the public holidays to support patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection in the community, especially high risk patients, requiring medical advice and treatment to soothe their symptoms. The spokesperson reminded the public that they should continue to stay vigilant when celebrating holidays and when hiking or grave-sweeping during holidays. They should maintain personal and environmental hygiene to prevent infection and spreading of the virus in the community.
 
     Members of the public can obtain specimen collection packs for COVID-19 tests during the holidays, or submit specimens at four GOPCs (see table below) within the specified time.
