Hospital Authority Chief Executive tests positive for COVID-19

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson said today (September 13) that the HA Chief Executive, Dr Tony Ko, tested positive for COVID-19 through a rapid antigen test. He is undergoing isolation in accordance with the guidelines of the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health.
Dr Ko last went to work yesterday (September 12). He wore masks and followed relevant infection control measures at work, including conducting daily rapid antigen testing and regular polymerase chain reaction-based nucleic acid testing. He has no recent travel history.
The HA will conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection at the office concerned and will continue to implement disease prevention measures vigorously.
