LCSD's new "Chamber Music Connections" series to present three themed concerts

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD)'s new "Chamber Music Connections" series will present three distinctive themed concerts performed by local young chamber talents and veteran musicians in October and November, bringing perennial touching melodies to the audience. The musicians' exquisite artistic skills will be showcased through well-selected music pieces and superb ensemble performances.
 
     Details of each concert are outlined as follows:
 
"Resilient"
Date and time: October 10 (Monday), 8pm
Location: Theatre, Hong Kong City Hall
Tickets: $240

Featuring selected works written for difficult times by composers in different centuries, this concert encourages the audience to stay positive when facing difficulties.
Performers: Duo Ping and Ting (Chau Lok-ping and Chau Lok-ting, piano duo), Euna Kim (violin), Sally Law (violin), Sun Yu (viola), Anna Kwan (cello), Michael Wilson (oboe) and Vivian Yau (soprano)
 
"Simple Gifts" by LENK Quartet
Date and time: October 21 (Friday), 8pm
Location: Theatre, Hong Kong City Hall
Tickets: $240

Formed by veteran pianist Nancy Loo and three young chamber talents, the quartet will perform music pieces to send heartwarming blessings to the audience.
Performers: LENK Quartet - Nancy Loo (piano), Kitty Cheung (violin), Eric Yip (cello) and Linus Fung (clarinet)
 
"Scent of Music"
Date and time: November 25 (Friday), 8pm
Location: Studio Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre
Tickets: $180 and $300

The programme features selected works written by seven female composers, and a florist has been invited to pair up for each music piece with flower arrangements to present the character of each of the works through the language of flowers. Floral designs will also be displayed at the admission point of the theatre to bring a different artistic experience to the audience.

     In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, members of the public are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" venue QR code with their mobile phones/other mobile devices before being allowed to enter performing arts venues managed by the LCSD for necessary contact tracing if a confirmed case is found. In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering indoor venues under the management of the LCSD must comply with the requirement of the Vaccine Pass. According to the latest requirement on the Vaccine Pass announced by the Government, all persons with their Vaccine Pass QR codes displayed in red or amber are not allowed to enter performing arts venues managed by the LCSD.
