Hospital Authority curtails service to fight the epidemic

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesman made the following announcement today (September 4) on the service curtailment of general outpatient service:
The HA will suspend the evening clinic session of Lady Trench General Out-Patient Clinic, starting from tomorrow (September 5) so as to focus manpower and resources to further enhance Designated Clinic and tele-consultation services for supporting patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection in the community. Details of the service adjustment of the clinic concerned and the service adjustment of other General Out-Patient Clinics announced earlier are in Annex.
The spokesman appeals to the understanding of the community that the HA is sparing no effort in fighting the epidemic and have to adjust the service according to the development of the epidemic. The HA will continue to closely monitor the situation and service demand. If the epidemic continues to deteriorate, the HA will need to further curtail services so as to mobilise more manpower to fight the epidemic.
