The Government has proposed to allow Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Limited to install an optical fibre submarine cable of approximately 2.25 kilometres in length and 60 millimetres in diameter from Telegraph Bay of Hong Kong Island to Pak Kok Tsui of Lamma Island. The extent of the area of foreshore and seabed affected is described in a notice gazetted today (September 2).
