SCS views first-day operation of Private Clinic COVID-19 Vaccination Stations (with photos/video)
******************************************************************************************
The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mrs Ingrid Yeung, today (September 1) visited the Private Clinic COVID-19 Vaccination Stations (PCVSs) at Sino Plaza in Causeway Bay and Citylink Plaza in Sha Tin that have just commenced operation to observe the concurrent administration of Sinovac and BioNTech vaccines in these two PCVSs.

Mrs Yeung stressed that the vaccination service at PCVSs is free of charge and administered by medical professionals, with procedures similar to those in the Community Vaccination Centres.

"The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 that are acquired locally is on the rise. We have already set up more convenient vaccination venues for the public to choose from. When all of the first batch of PCVSs are in operation, there will be increases of 16 vaccination stations providing the BioNTech vaccine and 16 for the Sinovac vaccine across Hong Kong for the public to make online reservations at their convenience. I hope that more members of the public would take action to receive COVID-19 vaccine doses on time for self-protection and arrange vaccination for their children and elderly family members, so as to protect the healthcare system and relieve the burden on medical professionals," she said.

Persons aged 6 months or above may receive the Sinovac vaccine at the PCVSs, while persons aged 12 or above may also opt for the BioNTech vaccine. In addition, persons aged 60 or above may obtain same-day tickets directly at the PCVSs for vaccination without an appointment.

Fifteen PCVSs have commenced service today. The PCVS at Pacific Plaza on Des Voeux Road West in Western District will begin operation on September 15.
