The Hong Kong Observatory issued No. 8 Northeast Gale or Storm Signal at 7.25pm today (August 24).
      
     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 30 temporary shelters in various districts and 120 people have sought refuge at the shelters.
 
     As at 11pm, no reports of fallen trees, landslide or flooding have been received so far.
 
     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 9.30pm, one person has been injured during the typhoon period and received medical treatment at the Accident and Emergency Department of a public hospital.
