     The Government announced today (August 15) that Ms Jessie Wong Hok-ling, Head, Budget and Tax Policy Unit, the Financial Secretary's Office (FSO), will take up the post of Director of Administration and Development of the Department of Justice on August 22, 2022.
 
     The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mrs Ingrid Yeung, said, "Ms Wong is a seasoned Administrative Officer with proven leadership and management skills. I have every confidence that she will continue to serve the community with professionalism in her new capacity."
 
     A brief biographical note of Ms Wong is set out below:

     Ms Wong joined the Government in July 1988 as an Executive Officer. She later joined the Administrative Service in October 1992 and rose to the rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade B1 in April 2021. She has served in various bureaux and departments, including the former Royal Hong Kong Police Force, the former Home Affairs Branch, the former Regional Services Department, the Security Bureau, the former Environment and Food Bureau and the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau. She was Deputy Secretary for Education from July 2012 to October 2019, Co-ordinator (Special Duties) in the FSO from October 2019 to November 2020, and has been serving as Head, Budget and Tax Policy Unit of the FSO since December 2020.
