Transcript of remarks by CE after Ante Chamber exchange session (with photos/video)

Reporter: Chief Executive, how will you act according to the suggestions from the lawmakers? What are the differences between the Ante Chamber meetings and the Q&A sessions in the Chamber, and in the future, will you attend the meetings as well?
Chief Executive: What I intend to do in this Ante Chamber exchange session is to foster mutual understanding and create opportunities for legislators and officials to have dialogue and exchange ideas. I have said in Chinese that this is a new starting point, which I want to start from "one" to "10", and then "10" to "100", and "100" to infinity. The main purpose is to create good understanding and rapport, and also to formalise communication opportunities so that government officials, particularly the politically appointed team, can ensure that there will be people they know who may be interested in the subjects that he is pursuing, and also opportunity for consultation and good exchange of views.
This is the "number one" stage which I hope, through the processes and experiences, we will be proceeding to higher levels. It will be a dynamic situation, a dynamic exercise for us - officials and legislators, to find ways so that we will enhance governance by good communication, understanding and co-operation. I will be assessing the result and the purposes of the Ante Chamber exchange sessions to decide how I will deal with other matters. Thank you.
