Government urges travellers to go to Shenzhen Bay Control Point at a later time today
***************************************************************

A Government spokesman said today (July 10) that the waiting time for the special nucleic acid test prior to departure at Shenzhen Bay Control Point is rather long due to the large outbound passenger flow during the morning peak hours. It is expected that the travellers will need to wait for around three hours to undergo the test upon their arrival at the control point.

The spokesman urges travellers to avoid going to the Shenzhen Bay Control Point before noon time today. They are advised to cross the boundary later today after 3pm during the non-peak hours, so as to avoid prolonged waiting due to the clustering of large number of passengers.

Currently, the operating hours of the Shenzhen Bay Control Point for passenger clearance is 9am to 8pm. The free special nucleic acid test service is provided from 8am to 6.30pm.
