Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office presents "Greater Bay Area - Starting Line to a Bright Future" TV programme
******************************************************************************************
A new TV programme, "Greater Bay Area - Starting Line to a Bright Future", launched by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office under the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau, will premiere this Saturday (July 9). The TV programme allows viewers to grasp the latest developments and characteristics of the country and the Mainland cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) by featuring over 10 Hong Kong young people who are working and living in these Mainland cities under the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme (the Scheme).

The eight-episode "Greater Bay Area - Starting Line to a Bright Future" interviews Hong Kong young people participating in the Scheme and depicts realistically how they grasp the career opportunities brought about by GBA development. These young people will also share with viewers the new opportunities and challenges encountered when they first started their career in the Mainland, and their different experiences when living in Mainland cities of the GBA, including characteristics of local life and folk customs. At the same time, they will explore the interesting and attractive aspects of different cities.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government launched the Scheme in January 2021 to encourage enterprises with business in both Hong Kong and the Mainland cities of the GBA to employ university graduates in Hong Kong and station them to work in Mainland cities of the GBA. So far, close to 1 100 graduates have been working in different enterprises in Mainland cities of the GBA under the Scheme.

Sponsored by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office and produced by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), the "Greater Bay Area - Starting Line to a Bright Future" comprises eight episodes of 30 minutes each. It will be broadcast on TVB channel 81 every Saturday from July 9 at 10.30pm. Re-runs will be broadcast on TVB channel 82 every Saturday from July 16 at 7pm, and on TVB channel 85 every Sunday from September 18 at 10pm.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office aims to disseminate more comprehensive information about GBA development to different sectors of the community through strategic publicity and promotion efforts. Taking the opportunity of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, the Office sponsors the production of "Greater Bay Area - Starting Line to a Bright Future" to step up promotion to the public, especially young people, on the opportunities brought about to them by GBA development.
