Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board Annual Report 2021-2022

The Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board (the Board) today (June 30) published its Annual Report for 2021-2022. The Report highlights the key achievements of the Board in 2021-2022, which includes launching a series of publicity initiatives to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the launch of the Deposit Protection Scheme (the Scheme). The Report also reviews the operations of the Scheme during the year and outlines the Board’s plan for 2022-2023. Despite the challenging environment brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board has strived to maintain a high level of public awareness of, and confidence in, the Scheme. Moreover, the Board has also launched the electronic payment channels which would further expedite the compensation process in the event of a payout.
