QMH appeals to public for missing patient

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
 
     The spokesman for Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) made the following appeal today (June 29) regarding a patient leaving the ward without prior notification:

     A 55-year-old male patient in a Medicine ward of QMH was found leaving the ward without prior notification at around 5.30pm. Security guards were immediately deployed to search for the patient within the hospital compound and the vicinity. The hospital is very concerned about the incident and has reported to the Police for assistance.

     The patient is about 1.7 metres tall, of Chinese nationality, fat-built, with black short hair. He was wearing a dark grey T-shirt, black pants and without glasses when leaving the ward.

     The hospital appeals to the public to contact Western Police Station at 3661 1618 if they know the whereabouts of the patient.
