Police arrested a man and laid holding charges against two men in connection with open fire case in Central

     Police yesterday (June 28) arrested a 20-year-old non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) man for conspiracy to wounding with intent. He was suspected in connection with the open fire case happened in Central on June 10, and is now being detained for further enquiries.

     Among the six men who were arrested on June 27, two NEC men, aged 24 and 36 respectively, were laid a holding charge jointly with one count of conspiracy to wounding with intent, while the 36-year-old man was laid a holding charge with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs, the case will be mentioned at the Eastern Magistrates' Courts this morning (June 29). Two arrested men were released on bail pending further enquiries and are required to report back to Police in late July. The remaining two arrested men are being detained further enquiries.

     Active follow-up action by Organised Crime and Triad Bureau is underway.
