The Home Affairs Bureau today (June 24) expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mr Ko Tin-lung and extended deepest condolences to his family.
 
     Mr Ko was the Artistic Director of Chung Ying Theatre Company and created a number of popular plays. He was also the Chairman of the Arts Promotion Committee and a member of the Strategy Committee of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. In 1994, he was awarded the Outstanding Achievements of the Decade honour by the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies.
 
     The spokesman for the Home Affairs Bureau said, "Mr Ko had a strong passion for drama throughout his life. He was dedicated to nurturing talents and strived to promote the cultural and arts development of Hong Kong over the years. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Ko and will fondly remember him."
